Our Core Values
Learning Fun 101 is on a mission. We aim to bring STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the ARTS and Mathematics) to more kids at an earlier age, and we want to make STEAM irresistibly FUN, like it should be. And what better way to do that than to get students hooked on science by building stuff, like real engineers do!
Are we succeeding? Yes! Since our founding in September 2008, Learning Fun 101 has taught more than 1,500 kids each year in the Austin metro area how to engineer, build, program and have fun with Science, through both our classes and summer camps. Students and parents think we’re doing an awesome job.
21st century skills
Robotics is a system that teaches students how to build robots or smart machines using motors and sensors, and how to program them using an easy programming language, all in an environment of fun learning and excitement. By building those robots, the students will easily practice a set of subjects such as Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, as well as what is called “21st century skills”.
Making Learning FUN!
Hands-on, interactive activities for every student, every time. Our classes are not demonstration classes where just one or two kids get to build and program. There’s no such thing as sitting through our classes and not being able to remember what happened. In our Robotics w/ LEGO® classes, each pair of students gets one computer and one LEGO® educational kit.
Why Learning Fun 101?
Learning fun 101’s program facilitates teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, applying science principals, and mathematical solutions. Our program integrates reading, writing and presentation skills. In a nutshell, this program prepares students for the workforce of tomorrow.Find a Location Near You!
